Individual Giving

When you give to the Limestone Child Advocacy Center, you help make a lifelong impact in the life of an abused or neglected child. Your support allows our professional team to provide critical services to these vulnerable children and ensures that we can offer these services free of charge to every child who walks through our door.

Wheels of Justice

92.83% of the financial support we receive goes to direct client services. There are other costs associated with maintaining the LCAC. Our largest expense is the cost of our building. We invested in the children of Limestone County, downtown Athens, and in the long-term impact we can have in our community by purchasing our building last year. We will be at 104 E Washington Street from this point forward. We believe it is important to be centrally located with easy access to the courthouse and other community services.

We are looking for 21 people to commit to give $100.00 a month to the LCAC for the sole purpose of covering the cost of meeting our current mortgage obligations. We understand that you may want to give to a more direct need for abused children. Generally, we can obtain grants to provide counseling, forensic interviews, parenting classes, etc. Grants do not cover the cost of the space we need to provide this service Without a large location within easy access to many people, we cannot meet the emotional needs of each child that comes to us.

Remember the childhood rhyme, “Here’s the church. Here’s the steeple. Open the doors and see all the people.” Without a building we cannot open our doors for the people.

Please consider this opportunity to make a lasting impression in the lives of abused and neglected children in Limestone County. If you are unable to give $100.00 a month find a friend and each of you commit to give $50.00.

A commitment to do this over the next 5 years will total $6,000.00. If you would rather give a one time donation or quarterly we can help you set that up. We are a 501C3, therefore this donation is tax deductible as allowed by law.
